March Madness at The Department

March 16, 2017

Well, our brackets are filled out and we’re ready for the games to begin. Once again it’s that time of year when work productivity goes down and trash talking goes up. That’s right, it’s time for March Madness. Our coworking space gets pretty competitive!

Whether you’re rooting for (or against!) the Wildcats, or you’re hoping for a Cinderella story from the likes of the Rhode Island Rams or the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, the NCAA basketball tournament has something for everyone.

Fortunately for us here in Phoenix, there’s even more to love this year, with the Final Four being held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Best of all, for the third year in a row – after wildly successful events surrounding the Super Bowl in 2015 and the College Football Championship in 2016 – downtown Phoenix is hosting a major sports fan event with the Final Four Fan Fest, which opens at noon on Friday, March 31, just down the street from us at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The festival is free for kids 12 and under (with a ticketed adult) and will feature “youth clinics, giveaways, concerts, interactive games, special appearances, autograph signings and much more.” You’ll also have the chance to pretend you’re six-foot-six and have a 30-inch vertical when you pose for a picture with the championship trophy.

We love that events like this one are giving more and more people from throughout the Valley – and across the country! – a chance to experience what a great place downtown Phoenix is to live, work, and play every day of the year.
